Editorial policy

What we publish, how we separate our work from the community's, and the things we refuse to do.

Editorial versus community

Two kinds of content live on this site and they are always labelled:

  • Editorial. Program pages researched and maintained by ReferralCode.org. Marked “Editorial” and shown at the top of each program page.
  • Community. Codes submitted by readers, always shown with the contributor’s name and the date they posted. We do not present community content as our own.

Dates mean what they say

A publication date is when a page was first published. A modified date changes only when the content actually changed. We do not refresh dates to look current — an offer that hasn’t been looked at since 2021 says so, and is marked possibly outdated.

Things we don’t do

  • No invented ratings. We publish no star ratings, review counts or aggregate scores, and emit no review structured data. The previous version of this site did, and the numbers were not real.
  • No fake urgency. No countdown timers on offers with no published end date, no “only 3 left”.
  • No auto-generated pages. We do not create a page per country, per city or per keyword variant for offers that are identical.
  • No mass rewriting. Existing articles are updated by hand when the facts change, not regenerated in bulk.

Corrections

If something here is wrong, tell us or use the report button on the page. Offer statuses can be corrected by anyone, with or without an account.
